Walking Meditation

Turn the phone in your pocket to ‘do not disturb’ when you go outside for a prayer walk.

Sometimes you might have a specific thing in mind to pray about, but you don’t need to have. During walking meditation you are consciously putting your footsteps and breathing into the same rhythm. (You may choose to mindfully repeat a word or phrase as you do so). As you walk along you can praise God for the beauty of creation, and you can pray for the people that you pass. (You can ask God to bring to your attention what and who needs prayer). Prayer is a conversation, and so you need to take time listening in silence.
